Welcome to Ms. Lee's Music Fundamentals page, designed especially for the Samueli Academy Firewolves! Here is the information regarding this brand-new class offered at Samueli Academy:

What - The Music Fundamentals class purpose is to engage students in music learning and enhance individual academic developments.

Why - The Music Fundamentals class connects to other school subjects, in hope to inspire learning, provide therapeutic benefit, and promote the well-being of the student as a whole person.

How - The Music Fundamentals class leads students in music appreciation, ensemble experience, creativity, responsiveness innovation and problem-solving.

When - The Music Fundamentals class will meet during the Zero-Period in the second-floor classroom above the gym. The schedule will be 8:00-8:40am, Tuesday through Friday, in the school year of 2024-2025.

Who - The Music Fundamentals class is opened to 7th and 8th graders. No music experience necessary.

The reason for the Music Fundamentals class to be held during Zero-Period:

• Beat the morning school traffic!
• Learn something new about music every day!!
• Earn more school credits and have lots of fun throughout the school year!!!

• Music Notation System learning
• Body Movements and Body Percussion learning
• Ear Training
• Sight Singing
• Basic keyboard playing
• Djambe and other hand drums playing
• Snare drum playing
• Pitched instruments playing
